 Melting Clocks

Receding, proceeding, future's
past, sliding fast, remaining far
beyond our grasp. Wasted traces,
funny faces frownng on the avatar.

Sing hey diddle diddle and
Tick-tock,
tick-tock.
Much ado on bonds and stocks,
when all we have are melting clocks.

Forth and back, back and forth, we say
"What's ahead, where's behind, who's to
blame? I've lost my mind." Can't you see
what melting clocks have done to you?"

Sing hey diddle diddle and
Tick-tock,
tick-tock.
Some day soon we'll sit and talk.
For now we'll scream at melting clocks.
